Specialisation: Biomass Production and Carbon Capture

The Biomass Production and Carbon Capture specialisation focuses on the knowledge of plant physiology and development, genetics and breeding, and plant biotechnology for biomass production. Biomass can be produced in the field, in greenhouses, in the sea as well as in forests.

Also, choose either a secondly compulsory course for the MSc-thesis, another MSc-course of the Chair Group of the MSc-thesis or a course from the list of courses per specialisation.

In 2017/2018, courses of this specialisation can already be followed within the MSc Plant Sciences as specialisation Biomass Production and Carbon Capture.

This specialisation will be part of the MSc Biobased Sciences as of September 2018, under the condition of approval by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Sciences, and accreditation by the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organization (NVAO).
