Programme of Leisure, Tourism and Environment

The MSc Leisure, Tourism and Environment is a two year programme, starting every year in September. In total the programme comprises 120 credits (ECTS = European Credits Transfer System), 60 credits per year. The programme consists of course work, an internship and a thesis research. Generally the first year is entirely dedicated to course work and the second year is split between internship and thesis.

Course categories

The course is split into three categories:

  • Compulsory courses (total 18 ECTS)
  • General academic courses (total 12 ECTS)
  • (Restricted) optional courses (total 30 ECTS)

In consultation with the study advisor and depending on your background the optional courses can be used to adjust the programme to your wishes and create a further specialisation (minor) or broaden your horizon.

Four Trajectories

Students can choose between four thematic trajectories that each focus on a specific research domain and that is connected to specific societal questions.
