Marthijs - After the study Agribusiness at the University of Applied Sciences, I went to study MME to gain more theoretical knowledge

After high school I decided to study Agribusiness at the University of Applied Sciences, as I was looking for a more practical approach to business. The many company visits and internships, both in the Netherlands and abroad, were especially valuable and informative. However, during my bachelor thesis I noticed I was lacking theoretical knowledge. Moreover, the positions that were offered to me did not challenge me sufficiently. I therefore decided to study MME, as the focus on agri-food is a nice continuation of my Bachelor. I am happy with my choice, as the programme challenges me and has broadened my network. After graduation I would like to work in either the financial sector as an agri-food specialist or in logistics. I hope to learn more about this during my MSc thesis and internship at BEC.
