Project

A network of high resolution stem-growth measurements across the Netherlands

In this long-term project, part of the Forest Reserve programme, dendrometers are placed on trees of different species in Nature Reserve areas across the Netherlands.

The intra-annual growth activity of these trees is monitored and compared to contemporary changes in climate factors. The project will run for at least a period of 10 years. Dendrometer measurements will be accomplished by cambial analysis and ring width analysis.
