Courses of the Laboratory of Cell Biology

The Laboratory of Cell Biology is involved in teaching several courses. Additionally you can do an internship or thesis at our department.

The Laboratory of Cell Biology is involved in teaching several courses on cell biology; plant morphology, evolution and development; and technologies including light microscopy and tissue culture.  You can do an internship or thesis in our laboratory. For suggestion on topics see our research page and our entries in the thesis database (www.tip.wur.nl). Most research projects conducted by BSc and MSc students in our lab involve fluorescence light microscopy and the generation of DNA constructs for down regulation of protein expression and the expression of proteins tagged with fluorescent proteins. In addition students may get involved into the quantitative analysis of images and importantly, the modeling of cellular processes using theory and simulations. The latter is done in close association with the group of Bela Mulder at the world renowned physics institute AMOLF in Amsterdam.
