ENP welcomes visiting researcher Karin Gustafsson

Karin M Gustafsson is a visiting researcher from Örebro University, Sweden, where she works as a senior lecturer. Currently she is studying science role in international environmental governance, and the socialization of young scholars as experts. Her main research interest is in knowledge production, primarily in the fields of environmental sociology, sociology of knowledge, and science and technology studies.

In her PhD-thesis from 2013 she studied knowledge production on biodiversity and investigated the importance of trust in relationships between knowledge producers. During 2014, Karin worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, studying scientific ambiguity and its consequences in the case of the monarch butterfly.

She will stay at the ENP group for about six months.
