Minor

Wageningen University does not offer a history track or an official history minor, but as a student you may use the free space in your programme to follow several history courses and to make your own History Minor. When you are interested in long term developments and/or in analysing contemporary issues in their historical perspective this would be a good opportunity. In consultation with our education coordinator you may compose a history minor. This minor has to be approved in advance by your exam committee.

You could e.g. follow the courses 'African History' and 'Sustainability and Resilience in History' in the first period; in the second period you could follow 'The Making of Europe and the European Union' and in the third period you could complete the minor with an individual course.

You could also combine our courses with those of other chair groups to create an European Union-minor by following in the first period PAP-53306 'European Union: Policies, Institutions and Law' as well as AEP-21806 'Agriculture, Food and Policy'. In the second period you could follow 'The Making of Europe and the European Union' and in the third period you could complete the minor with an individual course.

We offer already an official minor together with other groups, called
