Why should I publish Open Access?

• Anything that is financed with public money should also be available to the public. This call for justification is becoming stronger and more frequently heard.
• Publications which become available via open access usually have a greater impact than similar articles which can only be consulted in Toll Access journals.
• The role which Wageningen UR plays for developing countries is better served with open access. In developing countries, there is definitely a lack of quality information. Open access can help improve the situation.
