Bernd Leinauer, special professor turfgrass ecology at WUR, and former international goalkeeper and soccer analyst Ronald Waterreus will discuss topics like natural versus artificial turf grass pitches, soccer versus golf, professional versus amateur soccer. They will share their insights on doing research and playing soccer across the globe. Join the discussion!

This public discussion is organised prior to the Wageningen round table meeting on soccer turfgrass. In this round table representatives of soccer stadiums, field managers, KNVB, turfgrass industry and researchers will share insights into the role of research in improving the quality of turfgrass for professional soccer. The challenges in improving the technical quality of turf grass as well as economical value for professional soccer will be discussed.
