Dokuchaev Award for Prof. Johan Bouma
Emeritus Professor Soil Science Johan Bouma will be awarded the prestigious Dukachaev Award from the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS),.
The award will be celebrated during the Worl Soil Congress in Brazil in August 2018. The Jury stated:
“Your research and teaching have contributed greatly to the improvement of the scientific understanding of soil in all contexts, which is one of the IUSS missions. You have been well recognized by soil scientist colleagues and deserve receiving the prestigious award. I truly trust that you will continue to support IUSS in making the people of the world aware of the importance of soil for the sustainability of humankind and ecosystems.”
