One World Week 2017

One World Week: 5 - 11 April 2018

The One World Week is a week in which we celebrate diversity and our international focus in our education and research. The One World Week welcomes everybody: all students, employees of Wageningen University & Research and Aeres University of Applied Sciences and other interested persons.

The One World Week is a week in which we celebrate that we are an organisation with so many people from all over the world. Grab this chance to interact, connect, have fun and learn more from each other to become a world-wise citizen.

Most of the activities are for free and with no registration, but check the text to be sure. Some activities are also promoted via Facebook events. We will have cultural or sportive activities, games, workshops, lectures, fun, food, fashion, music and much more. We wish you a nice cultural week!

'Ordinary People' exhibition

For the duration of the One World Week the Refugee Committee Red Cross will show the exhibition ‘Ordinary People’. The studentdesk of the Red Cross Wageningen just started a new commission focussed on refugees between 18 and 25 years old. We are inviting you to come and have a look at the impressing exhibition ‘Ordinary People’, made bij photographer Raymond Rutting & author Arthur Japin. More and more refugees are coming to Europe, escaping violence and hoping for a better life. Are they people like you and me? Ordinary people? The exhibition will be in Orion during the whole week and the Refugee Committee Red Cross will be present as much as possible to tell you more about it and about their other activities.
