Creating the food of tomorrow

Every day at Wageningen University & Research, we work on the breakfast of tomorrow.
Imagine this: your morning croissant comes from a 3D printer, your sugar-free ginger cake is soft and sweet, the roast beef on your sandwich is plant-based and your entire diet is perfectly tailored to your lifestyle.
Can you picture it?

A century of ground-breaking research

Developments in the world of nutrition are following each other at break-neck speed and Wageningen University & Research is at the forefront. This year we celebrated our 100th anniversary. For the past century, we have conducted pioneering research in the fields of agrotechnology and healthy food, among others.

In the future, we hope to improve our understanding of the types of dietary fibre that have an effect on our health.
