We are looking for
RIKILT Wageningen University & Research is looking for a hands on data analist in the area of quantitative modelling of (chemical) contaminants in the food and feed supply chain.
In this position you will handle large amounts of different types of data needed for trend analyses and quantitative modelling of food safety hazards during food and feed production. You will work as a team member in different research projects involving literature review, data collection, statistical analyses, and predictive modelling. You are also expected to initiate and contribute to the writing of new project proposals.
- BSc in data science, ICT, mathematics or statistical modelling
- Affinity with food production and food safety
- Expertise in data mining, data carpentry, and data organisation in order to make use of multiple data sources with different characteristics for predictive models
- Computer programming skills and data processing and storage expertise
- Experiences with Access, Excel, MySQL, MongoDB
- Good communications skills, and the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and projects
- At least a basic understanding of the Dutch language and the willingness to invest in learning the Dutch language.
An interesting and dynamic position as a data analist, covering different topics, within a team of enthusiastic and engaged colleagues. We offer a position for one year. After this extension will be considered based on demonstrated performance and ongoing projects. Indicative gross salary € 3380,- maximum per month, depending on experience.
