September is a busy and happy month at the library locations. It’s buzzing with students who are being introduced to the Wageningen UR Library. Students receive a tour or find their own way through the library when they have an assignment to do. Most take the course Information Literacy, which is part of an introductory course in their study. In the course students learn how the university library works. They are introduced to the digital library, and to the libraries in the Forum and in the Leeuwenborch. In this way, they discover scientific journals, professional journals and bibliographic databases. Effective and efficient searching and citing used information to avoid plagiarism are also important parts of the Information Literacy course.
