Another exciting exhibition is on display at the Forum Library! Christine de Jong will be exhibiting micro photos of plant fragments in the coming months. The exhibition is on display on the third floor in Forum Library. Come and see these amazing photos for yourself.

Micro photos

From 1990 to 2009 Christine worked as a project assistant at the Resource Ecology department. There she investigated the diet of wild grazing animals by microhistological faecal analysis. The technique uses photographs to identify plant fragments in animal manure. Christine discovered that the micro photographs of epidermis fragments often yielded beautiful images. This exhibition is based on a selection of those micro images.

Poem

The motto of this exhibition is inspired by William Blake's poem:

"To see a World in a Grain of Sand. And a Heaven in a Wild Flower. Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand. And Eternity in an hour."

Come along and see these amazing photos for yourself. See here for the opening hours of Forum Library.
