The Hydrotheek is a database about water in the Netherlands with discriptions of publications on hydrology, aquatic ecology, water and waste water management in the Netherlands, written under the umbrella of Dutch organisations.

Besides journal articles and books the Hydrotheek contains a lot of reports and websites. The database is updated every day and per year grows with over 1200 titels, of which 50% full text at moment. The database was established by STOWA ( Stichting Toegepast Onderzoek Waterbeheer) en is compiled and managed by Library Wageningen UR.

Everything you can find in the Hydrotheek on the web is available online or as a printed copy in the collection of Library Wageningen UR. Since STOWA participants (all the regional water administrations in the ) send material to the Hydrotheek and because Library Wageningen UR manages and maintains this collection, all library users may profit. At the same time all the publications are included in the library catalogue.

Every two months a newsletter and a bulletin are published. People who are interested can take a free subscription.
