Online education is on every teacher's mind at the moment. Since the Library is also taking part in teaching activities, we've also had to switch to teaching online.

Information Literacy

The Library teaches Information Literacy in many bachelor and master programmes. Information specialists support WUR teachers by providing training in Information Literacy skills such as finding literature, citing and referencing, the use of specific databases, and evaluating sources. You can check the learning trajectory on our website.

Going online

During these difficult times, we continue to support teaching. We had to switch to online education using different methods depending on which method applies to your specific course. We are using  Virtual Classrooms, short video clips, discussion forums, group skype meetings, online demo’s on tools such as EndNote, Mendeley or specific databases, and much more. In March, we worked in 12 different courses with more than 650 students.

These are challenging times, for you as teachers and for students as well. Get in touch with us if you want to know more about what we can do in your course for Information Literacy.
