Migrate from SciFinder to SciFinder-n before 4 March
Last August the Library upgraded its subscription from SciFinder to SciFinder-n. Access to SciFinder will end on 4 March 2022. Please make sure you migrate your saved answer sets and alerts before this date.
SciFinder-n
SciFinder-n is a database for chemistry and chemical engineering and is distributed by CAS. Last August, the Library upgraded from SciFinder to SciFinder-n. You can read more about this in this previous news item. Access to SciFinder will end after March 4, 2022.
What can be migrated from SciFinder to SciFinder-n?
Most of your answer sets and alerts can be migrated, except for alerts based on author or company name. In the help pages of SciFinder-n, you will find a detailed list of all the items that can be migrated and those with restrictions.
How to migrate from SciFinder to SciFinder-n?
It's really easy. SciFinder-n has a button for this.
- Go to SciFinder-n
- Click on "Saved and Alerts" (on the top right)
- Click on the "Migrate" button (in the left-hand colum)
Since your SciFinder and your SciFinder-n account are the same, it will automatically start the migration between the two platforms. In the help pages of SciFinder-n, you will find detailed step-by-step instructions including a screen capture.
