Working on your research off-campus? Looking for online articles you want to cite in your publication? Download the free Library Access browser extension and access WUR Library’s subscribed material anytime, anywhere. Are you already using this tool? You now have more possibilities to tweak it.

How does it work?

The Library Access browser extension gives you fast and simple access to online Library subscriptions wherever and whenever you work. The extension will work on all websites that WUR Library subscribes to or it will automatically redirect you to the information you want. If the Library doesn't subscribe to a journal, Library Access will search for alternative, legal ways to get the full text, including Open Access.

How to install Library Access?

Click on the download button and follow the prompts.

Library Access is a browser extension that can be installed on most laptop and desktop browsers. It works in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Opera. Note: Lean Library cannot be installed on mobiles or tablets.

First, install the plugin, then select Wageningen University & Research from the list of libraries. You will then automatically get access to the full text when you’re trying to access a journal, eBook or database WUR Library subscribes to.

Privacy

If you use the Library Access extension, you remain completely anonymous. It also doesn’t collect any personal information unless you actively share it. And it doesn’t collect your IP address or your device’s unique device IDs.

New features

Have you already installed the plugin? Library Access now offers more possibilities to finetune the pop-ups you want to see. You can also enlarge the font size of the pop-up messages. If you want to know more, please read the FAQ on the advanced Library Access settings. In the next few weeks, more new options will become available for this plugin. We'll keep you posted on these new developments.
