Online bookshelf: Academic writing

Are you writing an academic text such as a thesis, assignment or research report? You may face common challenges regarding the structure, tone of voice, style and spelling of your text. Academic writing is one of the most important skills you will have to master at university. Luckily it is a skill that can be learned and trained! WUR Library has a stack of resources to support your writing process.

The Wageningen Writing Lab provides practical support to improve your writing skills and develop new writing strategies. You can make an individual appointment with a tutor to discuss your text and get advice. Or you can join one of the online lunch workshops on starting with your assignment, optimising your text or paraphrasing.

Student Training & Support (STS) provides practical support to develop study and other academic skills. See their website for an overview of practical guidance and workshops on academic skills and other subjects.
