Tool to create your DMP online
Good data management is intrinsic to doing research. WUR Library provides you with a free and easy-to-use tool to help write your Data Management Plan (DMP). DMPonline helps you to create, edit, and share your DMP online.
Meet funder requirements
DMPonline is a tool developed by the Digital Curation Centre. It provides Data Management Plan templates from a wide range of research funders. Each template comes with customised guidance. DMPonline helps you to create, edit, share and ask for feedback on your Data Management Plan(s) and to meet funder and institutional requirements.
DMP benefits
Increasingly, research funders and institutions, such as WUR, have mandatory guidelines for research data management. One requirement is a Data Management Plan. A Data Management Plan is a document outlining, all aspects of managing your data throughout your research. You write the plan at the start of your research. The plan makes you well prepared and your work efficient. Additionally, writing a Data Management Plan enhances data FAIRness (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) and research impact. DMPonline helps you create Data Management Plans.
WUR template in DMPonline
WUR Library has recently developed a WUR Data Management Plan template. The template is available in DMPonline. You can use the WUR template if a funder-specific Data Management Plan template is not available.
Get started
- Go to the DMPonline platform of WUR
- Select ‘Sign in with your institutional credentials’
- Create a personal account
- Select 'Create plans' and start writing your data management plan
