WUR is doing great on Open Access!
In 2020, 84% of the peer-reviewed articles by WUR corresponding authors were published Open Access. Taking all WUR peer-reviewed articles into consideration, this percentage was 71%. Compared to 44% in 2016, this is a huge increase over the few last years. This brings the national goal of 100% Open Access considerably closer.
These percentages are based on the most recent data from our Research Information System, the basis of Research@WUR. The trend in Open Access publishing is depicted in the infographic below.
