The 4,000 photos show different aspects of agricultural engineering. This is the first set of a collection of 35,000 photos. The photos document the research at the IMAG from 1950 to 1990.

Agricultural Engineering photos

The collection of about 35,000 photos was taken by photographers employed at the Institute for Mechanisation, Labour and Buildings [Instituut voor Mechanisatie, Arbeid en Gebouwen (IMAG)]. IMAG is a former scientific institute in Wageningen. The IMAG researched mechanisation processes in agriculture and horticulture. Currently, 4,000 photos are available in Wageningen University & Research Image Collections.

Many of the photos were commissioned from the photographer Jan Vierbergen. Main topics are research setups for the testing of agricultural machines, installations and buildings. The photo collection ranges from about 1950 until 1990.
