Forum Library offers the perfect place to study. Being surrounded by other people who are also studying, helps maintain focus. Use a group study room for project work or study in a comfortable focus pod. Read more about the many Library facilities.

Facilities Forum Library

The entrance to the Library is on the second floor of the Forum building. The Library offers:

  • 650 individual study places
  • group study rooms
  • 20 desktop computers
  • focus pods for more concentration and comfort
  • daily national and international newspapers and magazines
  • books, atlases and journals on life, environmental and natural sciences
  • a lounge corner with bean bags and a chess table
  • copiers on every floor
  • lockers (hallway 2nd floor)

Reserve your study place

The study places on the fourth floor need to be reserved in TimeEdit. All the other study places are walk-in places. Please note that during self-study and exam weeks, you also need to book the study places on the 3rd floor. The study places on the second floor are all walk-in places and therefore not bookable. Bring Your Own Device

At WUR using your own laptop (Bring Your Own Device, BYOD) is the standard in education and for self-study. There are external monitors available in Forum Library you can connect to your laptop to help you work ergonomically. You can bring your own adapter/cable or buy one at the lending desk. There are 20 desktop computers available for students on the second floor in the Forum Library.

Internet

With Eduroam, you have easy and secure access to the wireless network of WUR as well as to the network of other institutions that offer Eduroam. You only need your WUR-login details (WUR e-mail address and current password). More info.

Regular opening hours

The regular opening hours of Forum Library are:

  • Monday- Friday: 8 am - 10 pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 10 am - 6 pm

After 7 pm and during the weekends you can only access the Forum building and the Library with a valid WURcard.

XL hours exam periods

The Forum Library has extended opening hours during the study and exam weeks. Check the Library homepage for the exact dates per period.

  • Monday- Thursday: 8 am - 11 pm
  • Friday: 8 am - 10 pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 9 am - 7 pm
