An edubadge is a ‘portable’ format with which students can demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired. It is an electronic certificate that provides detailed information on the content of learning outcomes achieved. Educational institutes can use edubadges to recognize achieved learning outcomes. Students can collect edubadges in their edubadges backpack and can decide themselves where and with whom to share them, e.g. with employers or other educational institutions.

Edubadges at Wageningen University & Research

WUR is currently experimenting with this form of recognition of achieved learning outcomes. This by setting-up and issuing Edubadges on the competence Information Literacy. WUR Library is responsible for handing out the Edubadges within the pilot.

You can find more information about the pilot Information Literacy Edubadges on the page Pilot Information Literacy Edubadges.
