Albert van der Padt is appointed as Professor of Sustainable Production of Food at the Wageningen University (Endowed Chair), and is Scientist at FrieslandCampina Innovation. His research focusses on complete utilization of agro-materials for food and if needed for non-food applications. Here we combine knowledge of the agro-feedstock and its components, the aimed functionality of the product portfolio and different scenarios of the production network. Next, to arrive at the best production network, separation processes must be pushed to its limits, for this we study the product – process interactions for membrane and chromatography systems.
