dr. A (Azadeh) Arjomand Kermani

Azadeh Arjomand Kermani is lecturer at Cultural Geography Group. Before doing her PhD at TUDelft, she was affiliated to Art University of Tehran, Iran and Siegen University, Germany. Her research interests concern the impact of urban planning and governance reform on the historic built environment and intangible cultural heritage with focus on sense of place and identity. She has done intensive research on development of  value assessment frameworks for historic urban areas and buildings, and providing a basis for conservation as well as development. She has been co-supervisor of master and PhD students, conducting research and lecturing in several courses in the field of Heritage Planning, Landscape-based approaches, Spirit of Place / Place-making / Genius Loci.
