Since June 2021 Frans joined the Operations Research & Logistics group as a research scientist (0.2fte). He focusses on building connections between industry and academy and analytic supply chain and logistic challenges faced by the agri- and food industry. The rest of his week he spends at CQM, an operations research company located in Eindhoven.
Prior to his work in industry and at Wageningen University & Reserach, he obtained his PhD in Optimization under uncertainty supervised by Dick den Hertog at Tilburg University. He was also a visiting graduate researcher at M.I.T., Cambridge US, in 2015 and 2016, as well as a visiting research at The Technion in Haifa, Israel during.2017. He holds a MSc from the London School of Economics.
