Education - prof.dr. I (Ioannis) Athanasiadis
Ioannis coordinates the Deep Learning course, and lectures in the Machine Learning and Advanced Machine Learning courses. In the past, he was the founding coordinator of the Data Science minor, and coordinated the courses Big Data, Linked Data and Data Management.
MGI Master students at WUR interested in working with Ioannis on a MSc thesis are expected to have mastered the machine and deep learning courses. For potential topics, check the MGI thesis topics list (updated each spring).
Note that the Deep Learning course has a quota, and therefore there is a waiting list. Do not contact Ioannis or other lecturers for making exceptions. Be informed about the regulations from your programme study advisor.
