The PhD project that I am working on is part of the Regio Deal FoodValley. Regio Deal Foodvalley has been initiated to promote the transition to a sustainable and healthy foodsystem and to connect research and innovations, in the field of sustainability, circular agriculture, nutrition and health within the region of Foodvalley.

The project that I focus on, is about early-life nutrition. The practical aim of the project is to develop a tool to aid and advice women in their diet during pregnancy and lactation. Furthermore, this tool will also aid parents in feeding their young child. Through this project we hope to assist in providing reliable up-to-date dietary advice that encourages women and young parents to encourage improvements in their dietary habits and the diet of their child. We aim to provide an inclusive tool that includes families of different cultures and socio-economic classes.
