JIM (Jelle) Moree MSc MA

PhD candidate Landscape Archaeology of dykes & dwelling mounds

Jelle Moree (1995) is a PhD candidate within the EARTHWORK project of the Soil Geography and Landscape group (promotor: prof. dr. Jakob Wallinga, co-promotors: dr. Roy van Beek & dr. Liz Chamberlain).

The main theme in his research interests is human-landscape interactions - both in the past as well as in the present and future.

He obtained both his BSc (Hons) and MSc in the earth sciences at Utrecht University (faculty of Geosciences) (MSc thesis), while he got his MA in archaeology at Leiden University (MA thesis).

Before his current position, Moree was affiliated with Utrecht University (department of Physical Geography) as a junior researcher of palaeogeographic cartography (2020) and as a field assistant with archaeology and heritage services companies RAAP (2017) and BAAC (2019).
