dr. JN (Joanne) Leerlooijer

Joanne Leerlooijer is (interim) education coordinator for the chair group Education and Learning Sciences (ELS). In addition, she coordinates the course 'Interventions for behavioural change', supervises BSc/ MSc theses and internships, and is ACT coach.

Her expertise relates to the systematic planning, using Intervention Mapping, of (health promotion) interventions in the Netherlands and in African and Asian countries. She is involved as researcher in the design of interventions aimed at antibiotics reduction in pig farming in the Netherlands. She also supervises a PhD candidate who is doing research in Uganda on stigma reduction and retention in care of young people living with HIV.
