I am an Aquatic biologist by training and this is where my passion lies. My studies and work have taken me to many different places and along the way, I have studied salamanders in Western Canada, cyprinid species in rainforest streams in Borneo and investigated the impact of freshwater aquaculture on river systems in France.

Due my organised nature, my professional experience has largely been in coordinating international environmental projects, on topics ranging from water quality (catchment-based management), environmental impacts of freshwater aquaculture, and fish reproduction, to the impacts of climate change on coastal environments.

Since September 2019, I work at AFI part-time, assisting the group with understanding the diverse funding mechanisms and writing research project proposals for grants. I also coordinate Wageningen Universitys contribution to an application for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in aquaculture. In addition to my work at AFI, I have another job, within an aquaculture start-up company, where I am involved in developing materials, including the business plan and strategy, to attract potential investors.
