I am a PhD in Environmental Engineering with a background in microbiology and molecular biology. My research focuses on developing new alternatives to increase the efficiency of methane treatment.To this end, I adopt a multidisciplinary approach that combines three different perspectives: from a chemical engineering point of view, I design and operate advanced bioreactors that provide better methane solubility and transference. From a biological point of view, I study the effect of different culture conditions on the microbial kinetics and bacterial population with the aim of finding more robust and more effective treatments. Finally, from a biotechnological point of view, I investigate possible paths towards the bioconversion of residues, such as methane, into valuable products.
