Researcher

Seerp studied sociology of rural development and tropical crop science in Wageningen (1985-1991). He worked for over a year as junior researcher on interdisciplinary research collaboration and then lived in Nepal and Tibet (China) for ten years, working in rural development projects (1993-2003). He worked with WCDI for over seventeen years as senior advisor/researcher in 100+ assignments across the globe, supporting the work of (I)NGOs, government agencies, private sector, multilateral organisations, and research organisations. He finished his PhD in 2018 on the topic of "rethinking the idea and practice of scaling innovations for development and progress". His work focus at WCDI was organisational strategy, landscape approaches, responsible scaling of innovations for sustainable development, food systems, sustainability transformations, multi-aspectual analysis, responsible innovation, capacity development approaches and analysis, and evaluation & learning strategies. As of 1 April 2021 he moved to WUR Field Crops, team Agriculture and Society taking up the position of researcher innovation sustainable agriculture.
