Tamara Horbachevska is a fellow of the Sandwich PhD program at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands, and a PhD student at the Department of Human Rights and Legal Methodology at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.

Her dissertation focuses on the measures that can be taken by business actors to protect human rights and gain sustainable development in Ukraine.

She worked as a lawyer in the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group (2019-2021), where she provided advocacy for victims of human rights violations during the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine. She has represented more than 30 individual applications before the European Court of Human Rights, 6 of which have already been ruled in favor of the applicants.

She was a fellow of the ICLRS Certificate Program on Law and Religion (writing fellow, July – August 2023, Christ Church, Oxford, UK).

She works in the project of the organization WE ARE FROM UKRAINE, the purpose of which is free legal assistance in the preparation and further representation of the victims of the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, which began on a large scale on February 24, 2022.

She works in joint projects with the Center for Rule of Law and Religion Studies and the International Lab on Business and Human Rights at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
