I'm a Research Officer dedicated to exploring new technology, crafting tools for ecological research, coordinating data collection, managing data, and offering support for research and education.
One of my main focuses is studying wildlife using motion-sensitive cameras, or camera trapping. I manage and coordinate Agouti.eu, a user-friendly web app that helps manage, process and archive images and videos from camera traps in a standardized way. Agouti.eu leverages artificial intelligence to help identify different species in these images, which speeds up data processing.
Besides tinkering with technology, I'm also comitted to being a reliable support to my colleagues, PhD candidates, and students. With my background in data science, technology, GIS, remote sensing, coding, and IT infrastructure, along with plenty of hands-on international field experience, I'm comfortable being the creative troubleshooter in any project.
