Since January 2021, the Laboratory of Food Process Engineering is the proud owner of a pilot-scale spray dryer/agglomerator. The drying capacity of this spray dryer is 25 kg of water evaporation per hour. It allows spray drying of significant batches of product, can work with dehumidified air and has great flexibility for making agglomerated powder and in-line measurements.
The spray dryer is used for research and educational purposes. In addition, external parties make use of this unique facility.
