The University of South Bohemia is a modern public university located in the city of České Budějovice (Czech Republic). Established in 1991, it has almost 9000 students in more than 230 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programmes. Over the last 30 years, the University has become an important centre for research and development in the region. Its excellence as a leading centre of science and research has been consistently confirmed by international rankings.

Johan Verreth is long-standing member and head of the Scientific Advisory / International Board of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and the South Bohemian Research Center of Aquaculture and Biodiversity of Hydrocenoses (IBFC). Quite a mouthful indeed.

Last week 26th November, Johan Verreth was awarded a honorary doctor degree at the University of South Bohemia. In person!

Congratulations!!!
