Monday 5 February, the Wageningen Institute of Animal Sciences (WIAS) Science Day was organised. The theme of the seminar was “WIASS: Work on your Impact in Animal Sciences and Society”.
The WIAS oral presentation prize was awarded to Jules Petit, a PhD candidate at the Cell Biology and Immunology Group, for his presentation entitled Training the immune system to become as healthy as a fish.
About Jules Petit
Petit is working on his PhD research at Cell Biology and Immunology at the Wageningen University & Research. His project is called: "Use of branched 1,3/1,6 beta glucan, MacroGard®, a waste product of the production of sugar and ethanol from baker's yeast, to stimulate the innate immune system of farmed fish". His research is funded by the NWO.
