MSc students Roxanne Hornman and Esther Bergstra received the 2nd prize for their entry to the 3D Poster Competition at the Digital Landscape Architecture 2013 Conference at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany. Winners were determined by voting by the DLA conference public.

The poster entry was based on their MSc thesis around a community participation project in Madagascar. Esther and Roxanne showed how the use of Adobe Photoshop can help to involve local people in the transition from design to implementation. In this way the Green Towns approach by their supervisor Ingrid Duchhart, which originated in Kenya, is further enhanced.

Further information on the poster competition and its winners will be published on the website of the DLA 2013 conference.

Esther and Roxanne will defend their thesis on Friday the 12th of July, 13.30 in room Lumen 1. (Wageningen UR, Lumen building, Droevendaalsesteeg 3a, Wageningen Campus)
