This research line is about understanding soil carbon dynamics in various contexts and at different scales, in order to maintain or improve ecosystem services in a changing climate.

  • 3rd , 10th , 17th May 2022 webinars on soil carbon management jointly organised by the International Fertiliser Society and Fertilizer Australia. The webinars include both presentations and panel discussions with speakers from both Europe and Australia. In the first webinar on the 3rd May Gabriel Moinet (Research line leader of the Soil carbon management and climate change from SBL) will be the panellist of the session ' Principles, objectives and constraints of managing soil carbon in Europe and the UK'.   • On the 1st October the new PhD student Karen Moran-Rivera started her project that aims to better understand the interaction between biological and chemical processes in response to climate warming. This project is a collaboration between the Soil Chemistry and Chemical Quality and Soil Biology group to strenghten the Carbon management and climate change Research Line. Read more in News.
