We are excited to announce that there will be 4 brand new and exciting PhD positions available within the Riverhood project at the WRM chair group.

We are looking for 4 talented researchers who would like to do a PhD on new water justice movements in Europe (the Netherlands and Spain) and Latin America (Ecuador and Colombia). We seek highly motivated candidates who want to engage with rivers, environmental justice and social movements in a transdisciplinary, cross-cultural and collaborative way.

Are you interested in understanding how different actors know, value and strive to shape river systems in diverging ways? Do you want to learn specifically about approaches for enlivening rivers that are promoted by grassroots water justice movements? And do you have a strong interest in river co-governance both in Europe and Latin America? Then this could be the perfect PhD opportunity for you!

Proficiency in Spanish is strongly recommended. You can find more information on the link provided on the right side.

All PhD positions form part of the Riverhood project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 101002921).
