Digital tomato plants in Dutch children’s TV programme

CSA associate professor Jochem Evers and colleagues from several WUR groups are developing digital tomato plants. This so-called ‘digital twins’ technique aims at helping tomato growers improve their crop by exploring management options and new tomato varieties. The Dutch children’s educational TV programme ‘Het Klokhuis’ visited CSA and explains how digital tomato plants are created using data obtained in the NPEC phenotyping facilities.
