Nygolaimus brachyuris (de Man, 1880) Thorne, 1930 belongs to the Nygolaimidae Thorne, 1935. This nematode is a predator, i.e. it has one mural tooth in its head region. This species is a soil dweller. Nygolaimus brachyuris has a world-wide distribution.
