The vision of Plant Production Systems is to integrate biological knowledge to analyse and design sustainable production systems for crops (including integration with livestock), focused on resource use efficiency and equitable management of natural resources.

The use of options for sustainable intensification of smallholder farming in sub-Saharan Africa is often limited by
knowledge and resource constraints. To address both constraints, we developed and tested an integrated colearning
approach to improve farm level productivity.
