This year, our PhD candidate Kevin Schneider attended the summer course "Theory and Practice of Efficiency & Productivity Measurement" hosted by the University of Florida. During the course, Kevin was exposed to various parametric and non-parametric approaches lectured by renowned scholars. For the first week, Professor Subal Kumbhakar and Professor Christopher Parmeter held lectures on Stochastic Frontier Analyses. For the second week, Professor Spiro Stefanou and Professor Alfons Oude Lansink held lectures on dynamic measurement of inefficiency as well as on Data Envelopment Analyses. The trip to Florida was partially funded via a grant obtained from the LEB Foundation.
