Essay book 'The belly of the city' released
Thursday, December 6, the book titled 'The belly of the city', was released. It is an essay bundle that offers various perspectives on the relationship between city, country and food production. Among others Martin Scholten, Sigrid Wertheim-Heck and Ron Methorst contributed to the book, which is introduced by Louise O. Fresco.The first copy was presented by Joris Lohman to Jan-Nico Appelman, deputy of the province of Flevoland. The handover took place during Flevo Campus Live, an event where two hundred young farmers, students and young professionals came together to think about urban food issues.
