From 21-23 June 2016 25 PhD students, from different countries and backgrounds, have participated in the summer school Tackling Transparency The Methodological Challenges of Research on Disclosing Sustainability.

The students have enjoyed the calmness of Hoekelum, which is a farm in the outskirts of Wageningen. They have been trained about methodological cases of transparency issues and have heard from experiences of experts of several chair groups of Wageningen University and also from keynote speakers at the adjacent international Disclosing Transparency Conference from Orebro University, Yale University and the University of Sydney. Also, the students have experienced how to frame transparency for they own research and how to perceive their role as researcher in transparency studies. And right now, they are learning how to visualize transparency challenges by making infographics in a guided workshop.

The summer school will be continued by participation in the International Conference 'Disclosing Sustainability: The Transformative Power of Sustainability?'which takes place in Wageningen from 24-25 June.
