Louise: "In January this year I started working as a secretary for the chairs HSO and SCH and right from the beginning it felt good. After being unemployed for over a year I was very anxious to find a new job and therefore so pleased that I got the opportunity to start here at the WUR.

I have over 30 years of experience as secretary and administrative employee within an international company, so I was able to put my skills directly into practise. In the meantime we are 3 months ahead and I experienced that my job is incredibly wide and varied. Together with my new colleague Karin van Ommen I am responsible amongst others for the preparation of course materials, filling in grades, scheduling meetings (incl. taking minutes), preparing BSc/MSc presentations, making travel arrangements etc. etc.
In my spare time I love to style and decorate my own home. I am fond of reading books (mostly thrillers) as well as magazines, but I also like to run outside and ride my bike (preferably when it’s above 15 degrees).

My goal is to give my best support to both HSO and SCH in the most comprehensive way together with Karin. Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance in case you need it or just come by for some small talk or coffee!"
